Our Mission
At Kizziar Counseling, our mission is to provide high-quality counseling services to individuals who are experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties.
Diane is a licensed professional counselor who believes that one of the highest calls in her life is helping people navigate through difficult times and to pursue healing from wounding from past experiences.
Approaches to Counseling
Diane uses a blended approach in her counseling that she works collaboratively with her clients to pursue. Often our struggles can be traced back to wounds from our past, even when we don’t have clear memories. One of Diane's favorite tools is Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Diane is a Master ART Practitioner. ART works to help process painful thoughts and feelings. Diane has witnessed amazing outcomes in her clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, addiction and generally feel stuck in their pain. She also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help explore how thoughts and behaviors can contribute to feelings. She has created a Guided Journal that she offers to help clients on their healing journey.
In addition to these options, she also uses principles from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and narrative therapy (or “story work”) to help her clients work through wounds from their developmental years. Diane was a licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC), which provided her experience in addiction recovery.
